I've always liked Vox Populi. Has a certain E Pluribus Unum ring and implies that this is the great majority that has been marginalized by the zero-sum game played by the two major parties.

United Purple

Yes, it seems a bit goofy at first. But red and blue make purple. And there are many people who partially agree with the principles of both the Republican and Democratic parties. (Whether the parties themselves follow those principles is another matter.)

The "United" is self explanatory, but suggests a movement of people coming together.

And the name is not bland or easily forgotten. I agree that moderates is a weak term that is too easily defined by others, sort of like liberal. And one million seems to limit your aspirations. Plus it's a bit too close to the million man march and its millions of copycats.

Cheers,

Hello fellow transpartisans,

I need your help naming a movement.

Our mission is to organize the moderates and triangulate the national debate.

Our tentative name is OneMillionModerates.com because (a) if one million moderates organize, we can control the debate because both sides need our votes; (b) our "cap-and-prioritize" policy is a "fiscally conservative / socially progressive" policy -- perfect for moderates; and (c) it tells followers exactly what their job is -- to recruit other moderates.

The problem, however, is that the name "moderate" is so darn wimpy.

Any ideas?
