To all,
I want to thank those who have responded to my "A World in Turmoil" post both as a listserv response and a response to just me. My writing must have struck a chord because I have received several responses.
I applaud Bruce Schuman's concept of an "leadership affinity network". However, Bruce's approach is a project in and of itself, that if successful could create a long term-process for the Transpartisan movement of dialoguing. I frankly doubt that at this time the movement has the organizational framework to set up a process as described by Bruce, and therefore while supporting Bruce in his efforts, my approach is more direct and less complex.
I am asking any of you who have an interest in attempting to answer the questions posed by Kissinger to respond directly to me, to let me know if you would be interested in participating in a dialogue with the goal of addressing the questions Kissinger asked.
I would gladly lead the discussion until such time as this informal group chose a different leader or merely realized the process was self-organizing and chose not to have a leader. The discussion would be private and not a part of listserv.
Perhaps, this informal group would learn from the experience and then share with the listserv community our incites about the process in general. Perhaps we might even reach agreement on components of the foreign policy issue that I wrote about, and if so then perhaps share our conclusions on this on Listserv as well.
Therefore, if anyone has an interest in participating in such a process please contact me directly. If there is a group of 6 people interested in the above process I will proceed.
