Hi,
Just want to make my fellow NCDD'ers (especially those on this list) aware of a piece in today's NYT that interviews Parker Palmer and describes what we do. There is an open comment section that so far contains some really cynical remarks along with some positive ones. You can jump into that conversation for the next few hours. What do you think of the article, the comments and the opportunity? I am hoping we can use the comments section as a way to open up the discussion about the broader work of the people on this list.

A human being is part of the whole, called by us "Universe"; a part limited in time and space. We experience ourselves, our thoughts, and feelings as something separated from the rest-a kind of optical delusion of our consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures, and the whole of nature in its beauty.
